For kids, part of the back-to-school excitement comes from buying new crayons, folders, and backpacks. However, many families in our community are unable to provide school supplies for their children due to a crisis in the family or limited income.

 

We at Carmichael Community Bible Church see as our mission, not only to proclaim the Good News, but to become the Good News and make a difference in the world for the glory of God. 

That is just what we did this summer. There are hundreds of kids in the Carmichael and surrounding areas of New Providence who do not have the necessary school supplies to ensure they are prepared for school to start, and we took action to help.

 

We are held a Back-to-School Event on August 25. We gave out over 250 backpacks with school supplies. In addition, we had bouncing castle, cotton candy and various other treats for the kids. What a joy it was to put a smile on the face of children and help educate the next generation of our nation as well as assist struggling parents in these difficult financial times.
